Thin Yellow Line follows an investigation into the illegal organ harvest and murder of a patient at John Sealy Hospital on the barrier island of Galveston off the Texas coast. Luke Donovan, a seasoned, by-the-book FBI agent reaches a turning point as he discovers he’s fallen in love with his chief suspect Dr. Jeanine Hunter; a mysterious young physician who has captivated him and may be smuggling organs to a South American crime lord.

These characters try to form a relationship under the surveillance of the Justice Department. Dr. Hunter must endure life as a resident physician and survive the sinister world of narco-terrorism. Galveston Island, with its rich history and tropical tumultuous weather, becomes as much of a character in the novel as its inhabitants.
